Pumpkin Ridge Creations Gold Seal
Tube it/Personalize it/Save it as a transparent GIF
Tube It!
** Open your gold seal image that you made and saved in .psp format.
** On your top toolbar, click on File/Export/Picture Tube.
Personalize It!
** IMPORTANT! You must personalize it before you turn it into a transparent gif. Most Paint Shop Pro effects do not work on a GIF.
** You can write on your gold seal with text and then give the text a bevel like you did in the Gold Seal Tutorial, or just keep the text plain.
** If you want to create text that goes in a circle, use your color dropper tool to select a color from the background. Use this color for the color of the circle, so it will not show up. Draw the vector circle as shown in the Gold Seal Tutorial. Then, choose a darker color for your text. You learned how to make all those MMMMM's go in a circle in the Gold Seal Tutorial, too.
Turn it into Transparent GIF!
** When you turn something into a transparent .gif, you are basically erasing the background around the image you made.
** Flatten all layers of your image, if they are not already flattened. (go Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten) on the top toolbar).
** Click on the color dropper. Now right-click with your mouse on the background of your image (it is probably solid white).
** Now on the top toolbar, click on Colors/Set Palette Transparency. Use the following settings on the following windows that will pop up asking you questions:
Now go to your top toolbar and click on Colors/View Palette Transparency.
Your image should look like this:
Now save it as a compuserve gif. Click on File/Save As on your top toolbar. Now choose these settings:
When this window pops up, just choose 'normal' and then click okay.
