Holly Frame Tutorial

This tutorial was made with Paint Shop Pro 7. You can download a free 30-day evaluation copy of PSP7 HERE.

For this tutorial, you will need Jasc Holiday Tube set. You can get the download free HERE

1. Open a new image 250x300, transparent background. Selections/Select All. Flood fill yellow. Selections/Modify/Contract by 20. Flood fill green. Contract selection by 10. Flood fill red. Contract selection by 15. Flood fill blue. Contract selection by 3. Hit the delete key on your keyboard.



2. Click on the yellow rectangle with your wand. Flood fill with green color #008000. Effects/Noise/Add...uniform noise 25%.



3. Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel. Use these settings, and save them for future use.



4. Use your wand to click on the green rectangle. Use your tube tool and select the Jasc 'spruce' tube from the Jasc Holiday tube collection.



5. Apply the spruce tube in several places on the green rectangle, but do not fill it completely.



6. Effects/Texture Effects/Fine Leather. Use these settings:



7. Use your wand to click on the red rectangle. Use your tube tool and select the Jasc 'holly' tube from the Jasc Holiday tube collection.



8. Apply the holly tube in several places on the green rectangle, but do not fill it completely.



9. Effects/Noise/Add...uniform noise 25%. Add an inner bevel with these settings:



10. Your image should look like this:



11. Use your wand to click on the thin blue rectangle. Apply an inner bevel with metallic settings:



12. Control+D to deselect. To save as a frame, save image as a .pfr image in your frame folder. My frame folder is C:\program files\jasc\psp7\frames. You can also tube the image by File/Export/Picture Tube.
