Deck Those Halls!!
(and the windows, and the yard, and the shower curtains...)

Each Christmas, we decorate the house with all the things we had last year, plus all of the things we bought on the day after Christmas sales the year before. Here are just a few ideas to get you started on your merry way!

** Run lights around the 'rim' of your house outside. Put lights and left over ornaments from your inside tree onto shrubs and bushes outside, provided they will not be destroyed by dampness.

** Wind garland or popcorn strings around your handrails of your staircases.

** Make a mobile out of left over ornaments that would not fit on your tree. Hang it in a boring corner of a room.

** Make little baskets out of old cardboard egg cartons. Cut out into 12 small baskets, or leave as one big basket. Wrap with wrapping paper, tissue, or foil. Fill with ornaments, pinecones, Christmas cards, anything!

** Line your inside window sills with garland and lights. Finish with a few cards, standing ornaments, or pinecones.

** Even the bathroom is not safe from the decorating bug! Pick up some silk poinsettas at the craft shop and pin the big blooms to your shower curtain.

** Pick up some static decals and put a couple in each window. Use the small ones for the corners of the bathroom mirrors.

** Take your old big mixing bowl and line it with colorful holiday tissue paper. Fill it with glass ball ornaments and toss a few sprigs of tinsel into the mix.
